What data do we collect?

We collect the following data:

  • Personal identification information [Name, email address, phone number (optional)]

  • Site access information [IP address of your Internet connection, browser & operating system used to connect with our website, and any external webpage or search terms which brought you directly to our website].

How do we collect your data?

You directly provide us with your data when you:

  • Voluntarily complete our website form or email us.

  • Use or view our website via your browser’s cookies.

How will we use your data?

We collect your data so that we can process your requests.

We do not pass on your data to third parties for any purpose (including marketing): except to law enforcement agencies where this is required of us by law.

How do we store your data?

We securely store your data:

  • at our Internet partner Bizazz Pty Ltd on their secure servers, and

  • for your email address & name:

    • at our email host, stored in encrypted format, and

    • on our email software.

We will keep your personal data for up to 1 year after you provided it to us, or for up to 1 year after you last contacted us (whichever is the latest). Once this time period has expired: unless you ask us to retain your contact information, we will delete your data from our website and our mailing lists.

We will keep your website access data for not more than 10 days in webserver logs. Once this time period has expired, your data will be automatically deleted by the server from its logs.

We will keep your website access data in non identifying, aggregated report format for up to 15 months after you use our website.

Newsletters

After the election, we may continue to use this website &/or emails to provide Council-related news & updates on our progress towards our goals.

If we use email for this purpose:

  • you will be asked if you want to stay on our mailing list, and

  • you may opt out at any time. Just click on the unsubscribe button on our emails or click here.
